Description

In the early 2000s, Congress responded to years of lobbying from veterans service organizations by creating two programs to assist military retirees: Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC) and Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay (CRDP). These programs can provide substantial payments to eligible veterans. Unfortunately, many military retirees are unaware that these benefits exist.

This 90-minute webinar will cover:

• The eligibility requirements for CRSC and CRDP
• The types of disabilities that qualify as being combat-related, thus being eligible for CRSC benefits
• How to apply for CRSC benefits
• How the VA has been wrongfully withholding disability benefits from veterans who are eligible for CRDP, and what advocates can do to identify and correct these errors
• Advocacy tips for military retirees and advocates in claiming these benefits
• The differences between CRSC and CRDP, and which benefit a veteran should select if he or she is eligible for benefits under both programs

This 90-minute webinar is presented by Thomas Moore, Esq.
