Frequently Asked Questions
Live Webinar FAQs
Which webinar rate do I pay?
For Attorneys, Agents, and anyone else who is not accredited by the VA as a Veterans Service Officer, the rate is $140. For Veteran Service Officers accredited or employed by a Veterans Service Organization, NVLSP offers a discounted rate of $57.
Can multiple people view a webinar I ordered?
No. If you purchased one webinar and selected “1” for quantity, NVLSP will only provide certification and/or CLE credit for 1 person who viewed the webinar. In order to receive certificates of attendance and/or CLE credit for multiple viewers, you must select the appropriate quantity during purchase. NVLSP may be able to provide discounted pricing for groups. Please contact webinars@nvlsp.org for more information.
Are live webinars CLE approved?
Yes. NVLSP’s live “Attorney/Agent” webinars (those at the $140 rate) are approved by the Virginia State Bar for CLE credit.
What if I want to get CLE in a jurisdiction other than Virginia?
If you would like CLE credit from a state other than Virginia, you should check that state bar’s CLE requirements. We cannot guarantee that a state other than Virginia will accept our webinars for CLE credit. However, many state bar associations have accepted our webinars for CLE credit if the attorney submits to that state’s bar association: (1) the certificate of attendance, and (2) the Virginia CLE approval form. If your state requires additional documentation, please contact us at webinars@nvlsp.org. We’ll do our best to provide you with additional information the state bar may need, but we are unable to pay associated fees required for the state to approve the credit.
When will I receive my CLE approval form?
The CLE approval is generally issued within 1 month of the live webinar. Every webinar participant who attended the Attorney/Agent webinar will receive a copy from NVLSP.
Do the live webinars count toward VA accreditation hours?
Yes – the Attorney/Agent versions of our webinars can be used to satisfy the VA’s CLE requirements for maintaining attorney or agent accreditation. Please keep in mind that most of our webinars only qualify for 1.5 hours of CLE credit, so two webinars are typically needed to satisfy the VA’s continuing biennial 3-hour CLE accreditation requirement. However, we do offer a single 3-hour recorded webinar that will satisfy both the VA’s initial (within one year of initial accreditation) and continuing (every other year thereafter) CLE requirements: “VA Accreditation Training – Attorney and Agent Practice Before the VA” (https://productsbynvlsp.org/product/draft-va-accreditation-training-attorney-and-agent-practice-before-the-va-attorney/). For more information about the VA’s accreditation requirements, visit the VA Office of General Counsel’s Accreditation website: https://www.va.gov/ogc/accreditation.asp
When can I expect to receive my Certificate of Attendance?
Following completion of the webinar, certificates of attendance are automatically generated and emailed to individuals who viewed at least 85% of the webinar through their registration link. If you do not receive your certificate within 24 hours of viewing a live webinar, email us at webinars@nvlsp.org, and include your name, order number or organization that provided you with the registration link, and the date you viewed the webinar.
I've never taken an NVLSP webinar before and/or I am unfamiliar with the GlobalMeet webinar platform.
All NVLSP webinars are delivered through the user-friendly GlobalMeet webinar platform. We recommend that participants log-in to their webinar session about 10 minutes before the start of the webinar to familiarize themselves with the platform.
